The gunge is a completely forgotten instrument. We only have information that it was once made and played on the island Pag. It was made from two pieces of reed (double chanters with reeds), connected with resined thread. Later on a horn (blowpipe) was glued to it, making the sound richer. The gunge had the same number of holes on both pipes, so they were most probably played in the same manner as the mih from Herzegovina today. A similar instrument was known in Montenegro, so it can be presumed that gunge was widespread. The name gunge on the island of Pag was also used for instruments similar to diplicas and sometimes it was used only for the reeds.

This gunge was reconstructed Stjepan Večković.
